August is one of my favorite times of year. Upstate NY is a beautiful place to be. The days and nights are slightly cooler, flowers are abundant, and greenery is lush. The hustle and bustle often experienced in June and July has slowed for many, and there is a bit more time, to experience the beauty surrounding us.
I have news to share! I am a grandmother! My son JP and his wonderful wife Maria welcomed Sebastian Ezra to the world at the end of May. I am many of the cliches of a first-time grandmother. I adore him and spend as much time as I can with him. He is amazing… such a sweet soul.
And…. my youngest, Andrew, graduated from Cornell! He has taken a position which is mostly remote so he will reside in the apartment above my garage in Fly Creek. He loves and appreciates the area we live in and enjoys spending time with the rescue animals we share our home with. Although, he has assured me that a warmer climate is in his future. I am enjoying the time I have him around while it lasts.
My daughter Sarah has had a busy summer. Actually, I don’t remember a time when she has not been busy! She is an amazing and extremely dedicated animal advocate. She is the behaviorist at the animal shelter in Cooperstown, NY. Additionally, a wildlife rehabilitator, mom to many rescue animals, active in the local arts, and a belly dancer! Oh… and in the midst of renovating an 1800s farmhouse.
Summertime is also the perfect time to enjoy Toonie Moonie® organic marshmallow crème… Smores, whether warm with torched gooey marshmallow or cool and refreshing frozen smores. Additionally, our marshmallow crème can be enjoyed by simply blending with cream cheese for a scrumptious fruit dip to enjoy those seasonal fresh fruits such as peaches, strawberries, and blueberries.
